Learning Disability Services
We are the UK's leading provider of specialist services for adults with learning disabilities - particularly those who may have complex needs or dual diagnoses (including conditions spanning the Autistic Spectrum). We are proud of our success rate: a high number of those leaving our care successfully take steps towards a more independent future.
Although our work embraces many specialist disciplines, it is united by a common purpose:
To actively enable each and every one of the people in our care to achieve their personal best, however it is defined by them or for them. Everything we do is directed towards achieving this aim.
Our individualised care pathway gives each person the right mix of security, independence and basic skills education to match their specific needs.
Our pathway supports people at every stage of their particular journey, whether they need the specialist care of a low secure unit, where we focus on assessment and treatment, or the support offered within a locked intensive rehabilitation unit. We also offer community based step down hospitals where we prepare for a move to a more independent environment.
Many of the people who come to us are eventually able to live full and independent lives in a specialist residential home or supported living placement.
A trusted organisation
We partner with over 60 local authorities and Primary Care Trusts to provide placements for more than 400 individuals, across 29 facilities which span the care pathway.
Our aim is to enable the individuals in our care to live full and independent lives, with the same choices and access to services as everyone else.
