Hill House School is a residential provision for students aged 11-19 with autistic spectrum disorders, severe learning difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.
Students’ abilities, both academically and communicatively, span a wide range. We focus on communication skills and social skills, with a strong emphasis on self-management and independence.
Alongside an academic curriculum, we offer our students access to a calm, consistent, eclectic approach to meet their very special individual needs. We pride ourselves on our flexibility within structure. We believe in a non-aversive positive approach; we do not believe in punishment in any form.
Admission can take place at any time during the school year.
Located near the village of Boldre, the main building is a beautiful country house set in 9 acres of grounds, ideal for personal space and relaxation purposes. Access to the community is seen as an important part of our students’ development and trips to support learning are scheduled several times a week.
