Farm Lodge
Farm Lodge is a step-down hospital for up to 6 men providing intensive rehabilitation and community integration. The focus at Farm Lodge is on achieving greater social inclusion and on improving daily living skills. Clinical and therapeutic input is provided by the multi disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and nurses.
Farm Lodge is a large detached property with spacious communal areas and a large, landscaped garden where patients are able to grow their own plants and vegetables. All bedrooms are en-suite and have been furbished to a very high standard. Individuals are encouraged to personalise their rooms to their own tastes. Staffing levels at Farm Lodge are high and qualified nurses are available 24 hours a day.
Farm Lodge is situated in Rainham, Greater London, with shops and amenities a short walk away. Rainham is well serviced by roads and public transport, with direct rail links to London Fenchurch St and regular buses to Barking, Hornchurch and Lakeside, among others.
Patients at Farm Lodge are supported in accessing local services, and the hospital has close links with the local community. The local gym and college, and the regular Gateway club are all popular with the patients. Many patients have their own bus passes and are supported to use public transport, but there is also a dedicated mini-bus available in addition to this.
