The Brambles

The Brambles is specialist residential home for up to 7 adults with learning disabilities who may also have dual diagnoses and additional complex needs. The Brambles provides a longer term placement for adults who require a supportive home, with round the clock care.

The Brambles has 7 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite, 5 are on the ground floor and suitable for those with mobility difficulties, and 2 are situated on the first floor. The Brambles has been furbished ot a high standard and individuals are encouraged to personalise their bedroom to their own taste.

All the individuals at The Brambles are supported in using the kitchen to prepare food and there is a large communal living and dining room for residents use. There is a large enclosed garden, with a vegetable patch which the residents help tend to.

The Brambles is situated in Colchester which is Britain's oldest recorded town. Colchester is a thriving, modern town with many great attractions including Colchester Zoo and Colchester Castle Museum. Colchester has excellent shopping facilities and many amenities for residents. The coast is a short drive away and London is accessible by regular rail links with journeys taking under an hour.
