St Augustine's Hospital

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
A 32-bed hospital specializing in psychiatric rehabilitation for men

“This is a truly impressive new development of the highest standards and I am delighted to see local people being retrained to work within the healthcare sector.”
Mark Fisher (Stoke-on-Trent Central MP)

A brand new, purpose-built 32-bed hospital specializing in psychiatric rehabilitation for men.
St Augustine’s provides state of the art facilities for patients to assist them with their return to independent living. Many are from the local area and this new facility offers the perfect environment for their community- based rehabilitation.

Dedicated clinical teams provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.

Within the hospital, all bedrooms have en-suite facilities. There are therapy rooms, kitchens and study rooms. Two TV lounges have Sky TV and Wii consoles for leisure purposes. There is a superb gym, an internet café and outdoor recreation areas. Where appropriate, access to the local community is an essential step along the pathway to rehabilitation, for both leisure pursuits and for social training, so the hospital is ideally placed.

Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme provide all the amenities needed for independence training with their shopping facilities and public transport network. In addition, the colleges cater for adult learners and offer a wide range of practical courses to develop patients’ skills and interests.

Hanley Museum and Art Gallery are within walking distance of St. Augustine’s.
The beautiful Peak District is a short drive away. For football fans, Stoke City and Port Vale clubs are nearby, and there is the opportunity to attend matches at Wolstanton FC, the local club which we sponsor.
