Progress for our patients would not be possible without the active involvement of our full range of in-house specialists and support staff.

With every discipline represented on site, or in some cases at another nearby Cambian hospital, arranging frequent meetings that everyone can attend presents no problem for us.
It also assures continuity of care for our patients.

Every 2 weeks for each patient there is a ward round attended by all members of the MDT.

Every 3-4 months there is a Care Programme Approach (CPA) when, as well as the MDT, external people are invited– for example, parents, partners, family members and representatives from PCTs.

Working closely with the patient and family members, the MDT monitors therapeutic inputs as detailed on Cambian’s Active Care™wheel. In this way, every patient has the best chance of acquiring the skills and structure needed for a successful return into the community or appropriate low cost community-based care.
