Hill House School

Lymington, Hampshire
Mixed Gender (52 week) 11-19 years

“Fully meets its aims and, in so doing, enables its students to make outstanding progress in their personal and academic development. The provision for students’ welfare, health and safety is also outstanding.”  Ofsted report, March 2009

A 52 week mixed gender school for students aged 11-19 with autistic spectrum disorders, severe learning difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.

Students’ abilities, both academically and communicatively, span a wide range.

Located near the village of Boldre, the main building is a beautiful country house set in 9 acres of grounds, ideal for personal space and relaxation purposes.

Admission can take place at any time during the school year.

Alongside an academic curriculum, we offer our students access to a calm, consistent, eclectic approach to meet their very special individual needs. We pride ourselves on our flexibility within structure.

We believe in a non-aversive positive approach; we do not believe in punishment in any form.

Everything we do is supported by a wide range of clinical and therapeutic inputs including:

  • Speech & Language Therapy
  • Behavioural Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy,
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology

Parent Liaison Officer is available to discuss, in confidence, a child’s specific needs and we are delighted to help with any questions or to arrange a visit to the school.
