Acquired brain injury rehabilitation, Cambian Lodge, Nottinghamshire

Shaped by our expert MDT and underpinned by our unique model of Active Care ABI, our aqcuired brain injury rehabilitation model is designed to ensure everyone reaches their personal best.

Our ABI service provides a person-centered approach with the aim of enabling the men in our care to reach optimum levels of independence and quality of life. Typically our patients will have acquaired a brain injury as a result of an accident or a stroke leading to frontal lobe damage. As a result many will suffer from aggressive behaviour, sexual disinhibition, slurred speech, memory problems and co-morbid mental health problems.

Cambian Lodge offers an innovative and proactive rehabilitation environment, which maximises our patients' ability to regain lost functions such as sequence of movements, life skills, speech and language. In addition, our clinical input also help with reduction of unwanted behaviours.

Neurodegenerative services, Cambian Grange, Nottinghamshire

Opening in 2012, our neurodegenerative service will be specifically designed to slow or maintain levels of degeneration therefore enabling our patients to achieve a better quality of life.

Our neurodegenerative care model aims to get individuals to a point where they can be safely managed in a continuing care setting or nursing home.

The services care for men aged 18+ suffering from early onset frontal temporal dementia, Huntington's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
