Investigation Manager – South Region

 

 

Salary: Up to 36,000 pro rata plus £4,000 car allowance

 

 

Location:  Wisbech 

 

 

Contract: Permanent

 

 

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:30

 

 

The successful candidate will need to be flexible as they will be required to work across the South Region. The Investigations Manager will deliver a professional and impartial investigation service where needed across the Group. The purpose of the role is to provide additional resource to support the high volume of investigations across the organisation and we are committed to delivering a high-quality service that demonstrates added value to the business. The post holder will be expected to be able to assist with the development of systems and processes which will support effective and robust investigation service. The HR team will work collaboratively with the other functions across the Group.

 

The work we carry out is high volume, varied and fast paced. Although there will be an office base, this is a Regional role and therefore the majority of your time will be spent in the field.

 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Plan and carry out investigation meetings in a fair and consistent manner by adopting best practice.


• Provide an impartial and ethical service to the organisation.


• Preparation of clear and factual reports with supporting evidence in line with best practice guidelines to support

the organisation and others to make decisions when taking disciplinary action.


• Establish effective working relationships and work collaboratively with the HR Business Partners.


• Where required, provide support to any Employment Tribunal proceedings.


• Provide an accurate and timely response to emails and telephone calls.


• Work closely with the HR Business Partners to ensure effective planning and prioritisation of cases.


• Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on Investigations activity and assist with the planning & delivery of the strategy of the HR team.


• Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to promote positive employee relations across the organisation.


• Work autonomously on a number of complex cases with an organised approach to your workload.


• To manage caseloads effectively and be able to deliver and make appropriate and timely decisions.


• Escalate cases appropriately regarding concerns in relation to HR business risk to the Head of Human Resources.


• Take part in team meetings and provide updates on current case load.


• Remain current in terms of legislation and regulation changes.


• Provide support as required to the Head of Human Resources.


• Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with this role.

 

 

 

Experience and Skills required:

 

To do this job effectively a person will need:-

This role would suit an individual with a background in investigative work for example

 

Social Services

 

Residential LAC homes 

 

Human Resources

 

Employee Relations caseworker from a HR Shared Services background

 

      

 

A background of working knowledge of

            Healthcare

 

            Safeguarding

 

            Childrens Services

 

            Adult Social Care would be advantageous but not critical
