Job: Learning Disabilities Nurse – RNLD/RMN


Location: Dilston College, Northumberland,NE45 5RJ


Salary: Up to £33,222 per annum


Hours: Full Time/Part Time options, Up to 40 hrs per week


The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities are looking for a Learning Disability Nurse who wants to join our established and dedicated team at Pengwern College, our clinical input is a fully integrated part of the whole package of support for the young people/adults we are entrusted to educate and care for.


If you are an enthusiastic, forward thinking nurse with an interest in behavioural support/Positive Behaviour Support who can adapt to changing priorities, support and deliver high quality care to young adults with learning disabilities and or autism in an Education setting we very much look forward to hearing from you.


Working alongside the Education, care and Clinical team, you’ll be planning and coordinating clinical interventions to challenging behaviour supporting the development, social and emotional and behavioural needs of our young adults.


This is a unique role, it’s fast paced with lots of variety, you’ll be providing a therapeutic service to young adults placed within Educational and Community Residential setting by assessing and identifying their needs and meeting them through consultation and training to Residential and Care staff, direct therapeutic work, care planning and management in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary team.


Candidate profile


RNLD/RMN with 1 years’ experience with behavioural support/or completed the BILD Positive Behaviour Support Coaches Programme.


Working with young people/adults with ASD and Learning Disability


Be autonomous in practice


Be patient centred and have a commitment to delivering high quality care
