Salary: Band 6 NHS equivalent pay scale

 

 

Permanent: Part Time, 24 hours per week

 

 

Location: Covering Stoke

The post will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children’s services.

Job Role

 

You will be providing a combined clinical consultative and direct therapeutic service to looked after young people placed within community residential setting.  This includes assessing and identifying the young people’s  needs and meeting them through consultation, supervision and training to Residential and Care staff, care planning and management in conjunction with the team, with some direct therapeutic work.

 

Dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants.

 

The core of your role you will be providing specialist clinical support to care staff within the residential setting. So, subsequently, you will formulate and implement plans of therapeutic intervention/management of children and young people’s presentation based on psychological understanding the difficulties within the current evidence-based practice, in conjunction with the wider staff at the setting.

  • Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC, NMC)
  • Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills

 

Beneficial

 

  • Previous experience in working with children & adolescents is advantageous
  • CAMHS experience
  • Mental Health Nurse background
