Are you considering a Residential Specialist School for your child?
If you would like some help in making an informed choice based on the needs of your child, then we invite you to join us at our FREE workshop on Wednesday 15th January 2020
An integrated residential education placement can often be the best option for children with special education needs such as Autism and Asperger's. Having specialist educators, carers and therapists working 'around the young person' can lead to greater academic achievements, increased independence, improved health and happiness and ultimately enhanced life opportunities.
How we can help those considering a Specialist School place
Our workshop will focus on the benefits for residential care and how to obtain a placement including:
✓ A parent's journey to obtain a placement and the postive impact this has had on her child
✓ SEN legal advice in obtaining an integrated residential education placement
✓ An explanation of the benefits of residential education provisions
✓ The chance to speak to those working within these residential services (Southlands School and Wing College) for advice with any day to day difficulties you may currently be facing with your child
What the workshop includes
Listen to a parent's journey (in her own words) based on her experience in obtaining a placement for their child, and experts in the fields of SEN legal advice and residential specialist education. There will be the option for questions, one-on-one discussions and opportunities to speak directly with school staff.
Hot drinks, snacks and lunch will be included.
