Cambian Specialist Education services
Our specialist education services are improving the educational outcomes of children and young adults. Our schools provide support to children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs.
Cambian is a trusted provider with over 35 years’ experience of working with children and young people through our specialist residential schools, care and education. All of our services are rated as ‘trusted providers’ by Ofsted and CQC.
Age of the young people we support through specialist education
Our specialist education services support students from the age of 7. Our education and transition pathway services range from specialist primary schools, specialist secondary schools and specialist further education services that help young adults with learning disabilities.
We also offer post-19 provision and adult residential services. Admission to our service can take place anytime.
Cambian Emotional and Social Difficulties (ESD) Day Schools
Our comprehensive portfolio of Department for Education (DfE) registered special schools provide a high standard of education for children nationally with a broad range of emotional and social difficulties (ESD) and mental health issues.
Achieving their personal best
Each school offers a broad and balanced curriculum, including the national curriculum where appropriate, enabling students to study the core subjects of English, maths, science and ICT alongside an extensive range of foundation subjects and vocational learning as relevant to each key stage. All students are supported to leave school with a range of suitable qualifications, including GCSEs, BTECs and other nationally recognised qualifications.
Wide range of facilities and services
Our ESD schools provide for a broad continuum of needs, enabling the whole spectrum of educational provision to be available, whether this is initial assessment, home tuition, full-time education in one of our schools or dual registration with a local college or vocational provider.
We work closely with a range of professionals, including CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), as well as having access to Cambian’s own specialist clinical services, which includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Health Therapists and Clinical Psychologists.
Specialist further education colleges
Cambian has a heritage of providing outstanding education and care for learners with moderate to severe learning disabilities and complex needs. We support learners with a wide range of needs and abilities to prepare for adult life.
As part of our person-centred approach, learners have access to individualised learning programmes matching their needs, choices and aspirations; be the focus on daily living skills, vocational qualifications or independent living.
