As part of World Book Day, Hartlepool School students participated in a short story competition, based on a book.
The stakes were high, with the prize being any book of their choice, bonus reward points for the students, book tokens and a certificate of participation.
There was a brilliant response; the finalists included Harry Potter fan, Peace Foster-Jordan, writing a dark thriller entitled ‘Trapped’, football-mad Callum, writing ‘The Thief’ and Year 9’s Winner of the Day, Kyle, who worked incredibly hard on his action-packed story ‘Revenge’.
The students really bought into the ethos of the day and a good time was had by all!
