On VE Day, our class celebrated in a fun and meaningful way by baking Union Jack-themed cakes as part of our SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural) curriculum.

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the historical significance of the day while also engaging in a creative activity. As we decorated the cakes with the iconic red, white, and blue colours, we discussed the importance of unity and peace, reflecting on the sacrifices made during World War II. It was a hands-on way to connect with history and honour those who fought for our freedom.
