Babbacombe Museum History Trip
Our whole school trip to Babbacombe began with an engaging guided tour of Bygones Museum where students from Key Stages 2, 3, and 4 explored fascinating exhibits focused on World War One and World War Two.
Students had the opportunity to walk through a mock WWI trench system and examine a WW2 Anderson Shelter, offering a vivid insight into wartime life.
The tour also included a walk-through of a recreated Victorian High Street, providing a glimpse into daily life during the Victorian era. After the museum, the students enjoyed a scenic journey on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway, with stunning views of the coastline as they made their way to Oddicombe Beach.
There, they had lunch and participated in games, while some pupils took part in a coastal walk to Babbacombe Beach. The day combined rich history with outdoor fun, creating a memorable experience for all.
