The students of Lilac Class recently dove into a day filled with exploration and creativity during our latest Enrichment Day. It was a joy to see such high levels of engagement as they moved through a variety of sensory and reflective activities designed to celebrate their unique personalities.
One student particularly excelled during the "Hands of Happiness" craft. Using paint to create a bold handprint, he carefully identified and shared five pillars of his life that bring him the most joy:
- Family: The heart of his support system.
- Dr. Seuss: Celebrating his love for whimsical rhymes and classic storytelling.
- Long Drives: Finding peace and excitement in the journey.
- Games & Music: Two of his favourite ways to relax and have fun.
The sensory fun continued as he became a master "alchemist," carefully mixing shimmering ingredients to create glitter potions, exploring textures and visual effects. He then applied a delicate touch to assemble an aromatic rice bag, experimenting with different scents to create a soothing, multisensory keepsake.
It was a fantastic day of smiles and discovery, and he should be very proud of the wonderful items he created!
