Farmhouse is a welcoming and nurturing residential home located within the tranquil grounds of Brook View School. Designed for up to four children and young people aged 8 to 19, Farmhouse offers 52-week residential care for both boys and girls with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication difficulties, and often a background of trauma or related conditions. Some young people may remain at Farmhouse until age 19 to support their ongoing educational needs.
At the heart of Farmhouse is a commitment to helping each child and young person achieve their personal best, with care and support tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. Our dedicated staff team and multi-agency partners work collaboratively to set and achieve meaningful targets, focusing on the development of communication and social skills, self-management of behaviours, independence, life skills, and greater self-awareness of physical health and wellbeing.
Farmhouse is thoughtfully designed to feel like a true home, providing a safe, structured, and enriching environment where children and young people can thrive. The home features seven en-suite bedrooms, each decorated and furnished to a high standard with familiar, comforting touches to support a sense of security and belonging. Communal spaces include two inviting lounges, a craft room that encourages creativity, a spacious kitchen diner, and a separate dining room, each fostering opportunities for social interaction, relaxation, and skill-building.
The environment at Farmhouse is one of warmth and comfort, where every detail is considered to promote safety, stability, and personal growth. Our approach is deeply person-centred, recognising and celebrating the unique strengths and potential of every child and young person. Through structured routines, positive relationships, and a strong sense of community, Farmhouse empowers residents to build confidence, develop independence, and prepare for successful futures.
Above all, Farmhouse is more than just a place to live—it is a supportive, vibrant home where children and young people are valued, understood, and given every opportunity to flourish.
