Our students enjoyed a day visit to Devon County Show as part of a whole school educational trip.
An amazing day was had by all. The weather was glorious which allowed students to experience all aspects of the show exhibiting the best of country life in Devon.
The students were able to enjoy the full range of activities from pony events, exhibits of a wide range of farm animals and produce, vintage car and tractor displays, food, music, dog shows, scurry racing, funfairs, crafts and food. The students particularly enjoyed the army section where they were able to experience endurance tasks, exploring equipment and trying on the full weight of an army backpack. The climbing wall and archery sections were particularly popular with several of our students with all completing the most difficult wall. For many exploring archery it was a first; one student even got full marks for the target.
