Our pupils had the opportunity to go to the Small Breeds Farm Park this term. Despite it being a very rainy start to the day, pupils loved being able to see an array of animals including goats, piglets, chickens, rabbits and deer.
Getting to feed the animals and even be inside the pens stroking and playing with them was fun for all the pupils… and the staff!
The highlight of the trip however was being able to combine this with a filming project that one pupil had been completing in her English lessons. For this documentary topic, the pupil had to come up with an idea of a memorable encounter with an animal, create a title for the documentary as well as the voice over script and make all the filming decisions including camera angles.
‘The Goat Thief’ will air as a special red-carpet event on the last day of term.
