Devon School World Ocean Day

12.06.2025

To celebrate World Ocean Day, Cambian Devon School visited the National Marine Aquarium. It was a great day out for our students, who had a chance to see a wide variety of sea creatures, ranging from the very small sea horses and jellyfish, all the way up to the sharks and the two types of ray to be found at the aquarium. Students were given, and listened intently to, a presentation by the NMA staff providing details of the fish to be found in the large tank.

A few students also had the chance to see what it was like to be in the jaws of a shark.

The afternoon was spent having lunch in the sunshine on Jenny Cliff overlooking Plymouth Breakwater discussing the purpose of the breakwater followed by a walk along Mountbatten Pier.
