Cambian Scarborough School do their bit for Comic Relief

01.05.2017

This year in aid of Comic Relief we asked the students to take part in a sponsored walk to raise money for this very worthy cause. The older young people walked a huge 8 kilometres from Goathland back to school and the younger ones walked an amazing 6 kilometres from Flixton back to school.

All the young people took on the challenge and had a superb attitude, the staff were very proud of them all and were so impressed with the effort the children made to complete the long walks and also for raising so much sponsorship money!

Back at school, for a voluntary donation of £1 children were given the option to wear anything in red instead of their usual school uniform and red noses were also on sale for anyone wishing to buy one.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of family and friends, the young people and staff raised an amazing grand total of £244.51 which is so impressive for such a small school. The money will be put to work by Comic Relief transforming lives across the UK and the world's poorest communities.

Well done to everybody at Cambian Scarborough School!
