At Whinfell School, we’re proud to celebrate the amazing achievements of our Head of Education, Michelle Turner, who recently took part in a local charity event called ‘Betrayers’ inspired by the TV show The Traitors!
This exciting event, held at Lancaster Town Hall on the evening of Thursday 16th, raised funds for Cancer Care, a cause very close to our hearts.
Earlier this year, we sadly lost a cherished colleague, Tammy, after her brave battle with cancer. Tammy was an inspirational woman who cared deeply for the young people she supported every day. As our Principal, Paddy Sandham, said, “Whinfell School was so lucky to have her working alongside us.”
To honour Tammy’s memory, Michelle threw herself into the challenge of ‘The Betrayers.’ Not only did she survive the night without being ‘murdered’ in the game, but she actually won! What a fantastic achievement!
We continue to keep Tammy’s spirit alive at Whinfell, and all funds raised from the event go to the charity that supported Tammy and her family through their difficult journey.
A huge well done to Michelle for her efforts and success you’ve made us all very proud!
