Head Teacher
Clare Gammons

Clare was appointed Deputy Headteacher in April 2016 and Headteacher in April 2017. She has worked for 21 years in both mainstream and special school settings. She openly admits to being a data geek and deals with all the school’s data and assessment. Clare believes in high expectations and high aspirations for all students and is passionate about ensuring that all the young people at the school have the opportunities to improve their life chances.

Deputy Head Teacher
Megan Mathias
Megan joined Cambian Wisbech School as Deputy Head Teacher in April 2020, after working for an Academy Trust as a Teaching and Learning Lead in Mathematics. She has taught in both Primary and Secondary mainstream school settings. Megan is passionate about education for all, no matter their background, and so she is excited to join Wisbech School so she can help further develop the curriculum in providing exciting opportunities for young people to learn and receive a wealth of experiences.

Debbie Lee

Debbie has worked in a variety of education settings over the past 20 years with the majority of her career spent in special schools. Debbie has taught a wide range of subjects during her career including English, EFL, history, science, PSHE, ASDAN and Food Technology. She has held the post of assistant SenCo for the past seven years at Cambian Wisbech School and is also part of the senior leadership team. Debbie is committed to helping all of the young people at the school to obtain the best opportunities to achieve their goals.

Site Lead Key Stage 2
Matthew Braginton
Matthew joined Wisbech school in the beginning of 2019 after spending 12 years working in the Justice system specialising in working with people who struggled with multiple complex behaviour issues. Having spent time volunteering to be a chair of governors for a primary school setting Matthew felt a new desire to move into education. Joining initially as a T.A, Matthew has now progressed to become Site Lead for Key Stage 2 students.
Matthew has found this a pleasure and continues to thoroughly enjoy working with the students within the school.

Pastoral Manager
Ed Brandon

Ed joined Cambian Wisbech School in September 2018. He has worked in various capacities in education for the past 19 years, supporting some of the most vulnerable children and helping them to achieve. He has a passion for supporting children that face challenges and difficulties, both in and out of educational settings and is regular volunteer at holiday clubs for children with special educational needs.

Administrator
Jennie Sharp

Jennie has been the school’s administrator since joining Cambian in July 2016. Jennie’s background is that of 23 years working in the travel trade, but then moved into education in 2007 working for the Skills for Life Team at the College of West Anglia, Wisbech Campus. She held various roles such as an administrator, Tutor of Maths, Learning Coach and finally as a Progress Coach. Jennie is a dedicated member of the team and her knowledge of the surrounding local area and her organisation skills come in very useful in the school. Jennie enjoys working alongside the staff and with the students when possible.

SENCO
Naomi Flaherty
Naomi joined the school in September 2009 and qualified as a Teaching Assistant. As Naomi was keen to become a teacher and enjoys undertaking new courses to build her knowledge, she continued studying, became an instructor delivering English and qualified as a teacher. As Naomi is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs she took on the role of SENCO in September 2020 and joined the senior leadership team.
Governance Board
Termly Governance Board meetings are held at Cambian Wisbech School to ensure that the management of the school is closely scrutinised and held to account in all areas of responsibility.
