The college community is celebrating a sweet success following last October’s Macmillan Cancer Relief cake sale, led by our Hospitality students. On 2 October last year, learners from the Hospitality department  supported by their Tutor and Support Staff, baked an impressive selection of cakes to raise money for the charity. They were joined by other students and staff across the college who generously donated their own “fake or make” creations to help boost the fundraiser.

We are delighted to share the final total: £200 was raised on the day, thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of everyone involved. Even better, the amount was put forward for a Match Fund Grant Award from CareTech, which was successfully approved doubling the donation to an amazing £400 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Well done to everyone who baked, donated or supported the event. Your efforts have made a real difference.
