Christmas comes early to Cambian Northampton School
On a cold morning, the students, filled with excitement, ventured to Welford Christmas Tree Farm to pick out their very own tree. With twinkling eyes and warm smiles, the excited children explored rows of fragrant firs, each hoping to find the perfect tree to brighten their school for the festive season.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage with the Christmas spirit while learning about nature and teamwork," said staff. "We're grateful to Welford Christmas Tree Farm for their generous donation, which has truly brought joy to our school community."
The selected tree, a stunning 6ft Norway spruce, has become the centre piece of the school’s festive decorations. Students decorated the tree with handmade ornaments and twinkling lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The joy in the air was palpable as laughter filled the hall.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! After the holiday season, the tree will not go to waste. It will be cut down and repurposed for woodworking lessons, allowing students to engage in carpentry projects with the materials. This is a fantastic way to combine holiday cheer with educational opportunities.
Students expressed their delight and enthusiasm for both the festive decorations and the creative projects to come. “I can’t wait to decorate the tree and see how it looks in our school,” said Jayden. “And I’m really excited to build something amazing with the wood after Christmas!”
The Cambian Northampton School community encourages everyone to visit Welford Christmas Tree Farm and support local businesses this holiday season. With the spirit of Christmas now bridging the gap between festive celebrations and hands-on learning, this year’s celebrations promise to be truly special.

As the school prepares for its festive activities, one thing is clear: Christmas has come early, and the spirit of giving and learning is alive and well!
