Welcome to Cambian Lufton College
Life at Cambian Lufton College is underpinned by our ‘FRESH’ values:
Lufton College provides both day and residential placements for young people aged 16–25 with autism, moderate-to-severe learning disabilities, communication needs, and associated conditions including ADHD, ADD, and Global Developmental Delay. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reflecting their individual learning needs and support requirements.
College Placements are typically 2–3 years in duration, although this may vary depending on individual circumstances, progress, funding, personal preference, and individual needs.
The College currently accommodates up to 34 residential students across three sites, alongside up to eight day students. Residential placements include 52-week, 38-week, and weekly boarding options. All residential provision is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and education provision is inspected by Ofsted. At the most recent inspections, Lufton was rated Good by both Ofsted and the CQC.
Highly skilled education, care, and clinical teams at Lufton work collaboratively to deliver a personalised, holistic programme that supports each student’s individual needs, aspirations, and outcomes. Lufton is committed to preparing young people for adulthood by equipping them with the skills, confidence, and independence needed for life beyond college. The College aims to help students become as independent as possible, lead purposeful, fulfilling adult lives, and contribute meaningfully within their local communities.
Lufton delivers high-quality, person-centred bespoke programmes of education. Students join from across the UK and benefit from access to a rich, balanced curriculum that extends across the waking day.
Students live and learn in an inclusive, supportive environment where staff are committed to enabling them to build on their strengths and interests while developing new and meaningful skills. We are proud to have our students actively engaged in shaping college life through the Student Council and that our Moving-On curriculum enables them to shape their own lives after college.

"Can’t tell you what a difference being at College has made to our daughter.
She has blossomed and come out of her shell. We think this is due to all the self-esteem building work the staff done with her. She couldn’t have been in a more caring environment; and this is the key to your success."
- Parent
"You guys are doing fantastic work with P. I was so impressed last Friday of how patient you were with her and I know that this is the right place for P to blossom."
– Social Worker
"Please know, that everyone at Lufton - have really been angels in answer to prayer for my little lad. I’m eternally grateful to everyone for the marvellous life that E has because of your care, thoughtfulness and many kindnesses."
– Parent
"Becca (tutor) has put a lot of work into motivating M and made good progress with him and hopefully that will continue.
In my talks with staff, Femi, Tom and others, they really understand M and how to get the best out of him and what environment will work for him which is very reassuring.
M loves the rural area the room the open spaces which he thrives on and visibly enjoys."
