Our lower school young people went on a trip to Dorchester. There they visited and walked around Maiden Castle, a hillfort from the Iron Age, a subject they had been learning about during the thematic learning curriculum.
The challenge was to walk to the top which everyone achieved……there they enjoyed the beautiful views and the real sense of achievement.
After a special lunch out, the group then continued their day by visiting the Tutankhamun museum, discovering the wonders of Egypt.
The day provided a wonderful opportunity to work on all our curriculum aims, developing independence, communication, self – regulation, resilience and discovery!
