On Friday 11th November we had a Modern Foreign Language Day focused on Pakistan, educating our students about the crisis they have been going through this year due to flooding.

Students learnt about the causes of the flooding in Pakistan, the areas it affected and the impact it has made. They learnt about their religion and the Five Pillars of Islam and did some independent research finding out facts about Pakistan such as the population, where it is and the countries culture.

Students looked at the poem Presents from my Aunts in Pakistan by Moniza Alvi and Pakistani Truck Art. For lunch everyone had a selection of Pakistani food, some made by our young people, which was very tasty.
