Location: Wisbech and Newmarket

 

Hours: Full Time (other part time options can be considered)

 

Salary: up to £150,000 FTE

 

Package includes: CPD sessions, Regular supervisions, Appraisals(Monday to Friday - No on calls.)

 

The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity you will be working across Cambian CAMHS services as a Consultant Psychiatrist providing psychiatric input for our young people as needed.

 

 

Cambian Meeko Houseis a 16 bedded children’s residential home catering for 12 – 18 year olds with on-going mental health needs and challenging behaviours that may prevent them from functioning within the community without continued support.

 

Cambian Merida (New Site opening soon 2022) The service consists of five Registered children’s homes, one being a two bedded high dependency provision operating 52 weeks of the year alongside on-site educational support

 

You will be encouraged to contribute to, and influence the development of the active care model. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and leadership skills.

 

Candidate Profile

 

You must have a full GMC registration, Approval under section 12 of the Mental Health Act and experience in Psychiatry to be considered for this post. You will be an excellent communicator who can make decisions whilst taking a flexible approach. Your experience will mean that you will be able to manage crisis and act independently within limits of competence.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Full General Medical Council registration
  • Approval under section 12 of the Mental Health Act
  • Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists, Physicians, General Practitioners or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in Child an Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Specialist training in child psychiatry

 

Requirements

 

  • Certificate of completion of Specialist Training
  • MRCPsych
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in busy environment
  • Able to evidence good multi-disciplinary team working
  • Evidence of development of special interest

 

 

You will be involved in the development and of the therapeutic framework. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and leadership skills.
