Specialist Education

Hannah and Melissa are proud to share that throughout the month of March, they completed a 62-mile charity walk together!

They took on this challenge to support a young person at The Forum School who has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. As this is something they have not previously experienced within the school, they wanted to do something meaningful to raise awareness, show our support for her and her family, and help ensure she feels encouraged every step of the way. The goal was not only to get people talking and increase understanding, but also to raise donations for a wonderful charity that supports individuals living with diabetes.

They have been incredibly fortunate to receive outstanding support from the diabetes team, who acted quickly to provide training and guidance to staff. Thanks to their dedication, the young person has been able to continue attending school and take part in her daily activities without limitations — which is something they are all so pleased to see.

This challenge has been a really positive experience, and they are so grateful to everyone who has supported them along the way!
