Although the college site is quieter during the break, we continue to offer a varied programme of enriching activities for students staying with us. Staff support student engagement throughout the holiday period, ensuring they have access to meaningful and fun experiences.

Deb, our Enrichment Coordinator, plays a key role in this provision. Deb ensures that activities and outings are tailored to each young person’s interests and preferences. This means she is involved in arranging a wide range of experiences, from swimming and theme park visits, to meals out at local restaurants, and attending shows and performances. Her work helps ensure that enrichment is both highly personalised and engaging for every student.

Yesterday, some students on campus have made the most of the sunshine by taking part in and supporting a friendly cricket game featuring teams from Lufton Manor, Manor Farm, and The White Horse. In a closely contested match, Lufton Manor narrowly secured the win this time.

With spirits high and friendly competition continuing, we now look ahead to the upcoming rounders match planned for later this week. Will Manor Farm and The White Horse team come back stronger and take the win this time?

Time with animals on campus remains a particular highlight, alongside the ongoing daily care tasks such as feeding and cleaning. If you visit our Lufton College Facebook page, you will see Donald and Daisy, our resident emus, being cooled down with water to help them stay comfortable in the warm weather.
