Salary: Up to £38,890 per annum depending on experience


Permanent:Full time 40 hours per

 

Location: Dilston College,Corbridge Nothhumberland

 

The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Specialist Occupational Therapist.

 

Cambian Dilston Collegeis an independent specialist provider of further education in North East England, offering day and up to 52-week residential placements for young people with a learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs.

 

Job Role

 

You will work alongside a full multidisciplinary team including clinicians, care and Education staff. You will have opportunities to be part of the provision development and contribute to the improvement Occupational Therapy service.

 

Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and needs led interventions for young people and work with the school staff to embed sensory strategies across the environment.

 

Previous experience in working with ASD and Learning disabilities with children & young people is required and formal qualifications in Sensory Integration is welcomed. Experience in providing supervision, staff consultation and training is required.

 

Taking a “hands on” approach it is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills.

 

Candidate Profile



We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team.

 

Essential:

  • Experience working with ASD client group
  • CAMHS experience preferred
  • A degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT
