Cambian Hereford School has seen some outstanding work being produced across the school, yet in particular, the art department have been experimenting with their creative sides and have made some very inspiring pieces.

In December the young people hosted their very first Art exhibition which was very popular and turned out to be a huge success.

So much so that the school decided to host a summer show at De Koffie Pot in Hereford last week.  Some of the best pieces of artwork produced in this academic year were up on display. The work this year ranges from textiles wall hangings to Modroc volcanoes, beanbags made from recycled fabric to large mixed media paintings.

All the work displayed at the exhibition is exceptional and it has shown just how hard the students have worked this year in Art and Textiles. All of the BTEC Art and Design students passed their Level 1 award and received feedback about their work being “top of the top” and “outstanding”.

The KS3 students who had work on display will all be starting the GCSE or the BTEC from September 2017. The young people at Cambian Hereford School have all worked hard continuously throughout the year and the standard of the work speaks for itself.

Well done everybody!
