Cambian Hereford School Bounces into Enrichment Success!

16.10.2026

Building confidence, developing new skills and strengthening relationships through trampolining!

During Autumn Term 1, pupils and staff from Cambian Hereford School enjoyed an exciting enrichment opportunity at the REACT Centre in Hereford, taking part in a series of trampolining sessions. Across seven sessions, pupils were introduced to the sport, learning a variety of new skills, techniques and movement patterns. For many of our young people, this was their first experience of trampolining, providing an exciting opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, try something new and discover what they could achieve.

The sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by both pupils and staff, with fantastic engagement and a real sense of achievement throughout. Pupils demonstrated excellent behaviour, positive attitudes to learning and a willingness to challenge themselves, with their progress across the seven sessions being particularly pleasing to see.

More Than Just a Bounce!

At Cambian Hereford School, we recognise that enrichment is about much more than simply participating in an activity. It provides meaningful opportunities for pupils to develop essential life skills, build positive relationships and experience success beyond the traditional classroom environment. For our pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, opportunities like these are particularly valuable. Taking part in trampolining encouraged pupils to develop their confidence, resilience, self-regulation and perseverance, while learning to manage new experiences in a safe, supportive and structured environment.

The sessions also provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships between pupils and staff, encourage positive social interaction and develop teamwork. Sharing a new experience helped pupils build trust, communicate with others and celebrate one another’s achievements.

The Journey Continues!

A huge well done to all the pupils who took part, and a big thank you to the staff who supported the sessions and helped make the experience such a success.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and positive attitudes shown by everyone involved. The sessions have reinforced the importance of providing opportunities for our young people to try new things, develop new skills and grow in confidence.

Following such a successful first experience, we will definitely be returning to the REACT Centre in the future!

At Cambian Hereford School, we remain committed to helping every pupil engage, achieve and grow through meaningful experiences that support their academic, social, emotional and personal development.
