As part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award students have the opportunity to broaden their understanding and increase their expertise in an chosen skill area. At Devon School , we encourage students to take responsibility for researching and choosing sections for their awards.
Some of our Bronze level students requested to take part in clay shooting lessons and researched a local provider that could facilitate this. Last week they attended their first lesson. They took part in an induction to the sport and learned all about the health and safety aspects of clay shooting, after that, they were able to have a go for themselves!
