Students returned to school with enthusiasm and energy, ready to embrace the new academic year with an exciting team-building trip to Gloucester Ski and Snowboarding Centre.
After the summer break, our students came together for a memorable day of tubing and laser tag – the perfect way to reconnect with friends and welcome new peers to our school community.
Building Bonds Through Adventure
The day was designed to strengthen friendships and develop essential teamwork skills, and our students rose to the challenge brilliantly. Through a combination of thrilling activities, they demonstrated:
• Excellent communication skills – working together to strategise and support one another
• Outstanding teamwork – collaborating to overcome obstacles and challenges
• Exceptional behaviour – representing Cambian Hereford School with pride throughout the day
Laser Tag in the Woods
Students tested their combat skills, teamwork and stamina across four epic gaming zones in the dense woodland terrain of Matson Wood. Each zone offered a different dynamic challenge, pushing students to adapt their strategies and communicate effectively under pressure. The natural beauty of the setting added an extra dimension to the experience, making it both challenging and memorable.
Tubing Fun on the Slopes
The excitement continued with tubing – where students used large inflatable rings (also known as 'ringos' or 'doughnuts') to slide down the slopes. This safe and fun activity gave everyone a taste of snow sports, with plenty of laughter and friendly competition along the way.
Looking Ahead
The day was such a success that students have already requested a return visit as a reward for our house point competition! Staff were equally impressed by the students' enthusiasm, positive attitudes and the way they supported one another throughout the day.
