Music for Autism is a team of fantastic musicians dedicated to enhancing quality of life and raising public awareness through autism-friendly, interactive concerts specifically developed for individuals with autism and their families.

They returned to The Forum School recently and we were thrilled to welcome back Derek Paravicini, his teacher, Adam Ockelford and maestro, John Lubbock.

John and his wife Christine, musicians and parents of a son with autism, established Music for Autism in 2002 to share their love of music with others who have autism.

These autism-friendly, interactive concerts feature professional musicians, including Tony Award winners, Grammy-nominated classical artists, and Pulitzer Prize winners.

Our young people were very eager to participate and thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit beside Derek as he played well-known tunes on the keyboard.  Everybody joined in with their own sounds, singing, dancing and listening attentively.

We are very fortunate to have another visit from Music for Autism scheduled for 6th June 2017 when John Lubbock will return with a singer and Kelly Smith, founder of Boogie Monsters.

We are all so excited about the next session already!
