On Roald Dahl Day, Devon School brought the author's literary magic to life as students crafted a gallery of mean and disgusting characters.
Our Year 11 pupils took this challenge to a sophisticated new level, applying a range of advanced language techniques to design characters who appeared entirely ordinary on the outside, but revealed a hidden, sinister evil upon closer inspection.
To complete the celebration, everyone picked up their pens and illustrated their creations in the instantly recognisable style of Quentin Blake.
