The people of the Ukraine are facing horrific conflict and have to flee their homes leaving all their possessions behind. Students and staff wanted to donate some items to help those who are currently in need and fleeing conflict in Ukraine.
We put out a notice to parents and carers to ask for donations of goods that would be helpful to those in need, such as clothing, toys, food and toiletries. We had a fantastic response and had lots of items to take to our local collection point.
Students in Year 7 and 8 carried the donated goods to MyLockUp, where they were given a tour and were able to see the many items that had already been generously donated by the Scarborough and Eastfield community.
Thank you to everyone who kindly donated, we are very hopeful that the donations made will go a little way to make families more comfortable when they reach a place of safety.
