Young Enterprise Launch - Friday 2nd October
Our year 10 and 11 students have started a very exciting project for this academic year, they will be taking part in a Young Enterprise scheme. A Young Enterprise scheme is a practical education program run by the UK charity Young Enterprise that teaches young people about business, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through ‘learning by doing’.
Our students will be given an amazing opportunity to run their own business as a team; they will create a business from scratch, decide on a product or products which they will then create and sell. They will sell to friends and family as well as attending trade fairs to showcase, demonstrate, and sell their products.
This is an exciting opportunity for our older students to gain valuable careers knowledge and develop their employability skills.
The initial launch, which took place in October, was hugely successful with the group working really well as a team and discussing different business ideas and products that they could go ahead with.
Watch out for regular updates as the business progresses.
We are all looking forward to seeing what fantastic products will be sold and how well the business grows throughout the year!
